A song that I can actually relate to..

Some of you may think "not another songggg!!" Well, yes it's another song. I got an interpretation of it. Maybe that's why i think i can relate to it soo much.

If I had to
I would put myself right beside you
So let me ask
Would you like that?
Would you like that?

And I don't mind
If you say this love is the last time
So now I'll ask
Do you like that?
Do you like that?

No!

Something's getting in the way.
Something's just about to break.
I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane.
So tell me how it should be.

Try to find out what makes you tick.
As I lie down
Sore and sick.
Do you like that?
Do you like that?

There's a fine line between love and hate.
And I don't mind.
Just let me say that
I like that
I like that

Something's getting in the way.
Something's just about to break.
I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane.
As I burn another page,
As I look the other way.
I still try to find my place in the diary of Jane.
So tell me how it should be.

Desperate, I will crawl
Waiting for so long
No love, there is no love.
Die for anyone
What have I become?

Something's getting in the way.
Something's just about to break.
I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane.
As I burn another page,
As I look the other way.
I still try to find my place in the diary of Jane.

Yup, that's right. The diary of Jane. This is my interpretation of it. The diary is literal, it shows in the music video. The guy loves the girl but the girl is depressed and lost. She doesn't even know who she is or how she feels about the guy and keeps pushing him away and it's killing him. The girl ends up committing suicide. (hence the grave at the end) and the guy doesn't know why she did it or how she fully felt, if he loved her or not. He finds her diary and try to figure it out, while asking her what to do, and even considers killing himself (if I had to, I would put myself right beside you) He's trying to "find his place" in her life, her heart, her diary. Finally he gives up with the diary, burns it (as I burn another page) and tries to forget about it (as I look the other way) but still can't get it out of his head, (still I try to find my place...) as in it'll eat at him forever. Did he love her? Will he ever know?

Edit : Now I'm starting to think that Jane isn't one person. Jane is like a generic name. E.g John Doe or Jane Doe... It's not a real identity in this song. He's going out with all these women, but he never mattered to them. So he keeps trying to find his place in their diary figuratively since diary means a place where a person stores their emotion or feelings. He wants to find a place in a woman's heart.
